I'm Melissa Odom, an Alaska cruise specialist and the founder of Trouvaille Discoveries, a boutique luxury cruise advisory based in Mobile, Alabama. I work with multigenerational families, couples, and solo travelers planning Alaska cruises, ocean cruises, hosted group voyages, and river cruises — with named specialty training across Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, and Virgin Voyages.
I host a free Alaska cruise community for travelers on any line.
With years of firsthand experience across the world's most distinguished cruise lines and international destinations, I bring expert-level insight to every voyage I plan. I personally sail, inspect, and vet each ship — walking every deck, studying cabin categories, and learning dining strategy and private shore experiences directly from each line's leadership. I'm also a Travel Alaska Certified Expert (ACE) and Anchorage Wild Expert (AWE), with deep specialization in Alaska cruise and land itineraries.
